		<description>Hi,

nice said. As a software developer myself, having experience with .Net, Visual Studio and Microsoft RAD, I agree with you that Microsoft offers developers a rich, complete development environment for application development which outscores others by far.

best starting point to push applications on the platform and to make the platform teasing for end users.

but, Apple is sexy - Microsoft is not. Samsung and HTC devices are cool, Nokia is not.

comScore numbers about the share of the Microsoft platform for smartphones, Windows is at 4.4% for January 2012.

you predict 2012 to be the &quot;Year of the Windows phone&quot;. do you think Windows&#039; market share will exceed 50% by the end of 2012? I don&#039;t.

I say it will be considerably less than 25%.

I challenge you to have your say:

<description>[...] Back in my first article, I showed you where to find Microsoft&#8217;s latest updates to the SQLCE and RDA technologies so you can begin synchronizing data with the new SQL Server 2012 (Denali) database.  Just imagine, you now have mobile sync components that give you the flexibility to to work with SQL Server 7, 2000, 2005, 2008, and 2012 from your devices.  I&#8217;d say you have both your legacy and state-of-the-art bases covered.  In the second article you built both the server and client databases so now you&#8217;re ready to sync some data. <description>Rob,
Your baby steps tips are great to help IT managers get out of reactive mode.

At Intel IT (I&#039;m the social media manager for IT) we haved embraced the consumerization of IT.

We have some interesting stats in our 2011-2012 Intel IT Performance Report:

58% of handheld devices in the enterprise environment are employee owned. From 0 personally owned devices in 2009 to 17,000 personally owned devices in 2011.
Source: http://intel.ly/y0xMV9

We also share our IT best practices on our site www.intel.com/IT. There is a white paper on a quick evaluation process to bring on new devices, which allows us to keep up with what employees actually want to use.

Hope some of the resources are useful.
