Anyone know if this version of SQL Server CE support views or logical tables? 3.5 did not and lacking this feature it makes it hard to justify the use.

Is is possible to connect from two different PCs to the same database (UNC path)?

This is possible with VistaDB, which is discontinued as of 1th August 2010, so I am looking for alternatives.

Thanks
Uwe

A very detailed article. I was considering to publish my WebApp on a shared hosting but SQL CE 3.5 is known to have serious issues with ASP.NET. With your article I'm definitely going to give it a try

I'm really looking forward to adding this to Gallery Server Pro, since it combines the advantages of SQL Server (especially medium trust) with the easy deployment of SQLite.

But will I need to release two builds of my web application - one with the 32-bit dlls and another with the 64-bit ones? Hope not; that's been a real hassle with SQLite - people are constantly getting confused.

Would really like it I could have a single deployment that includes both versions and it just works.

I'm curious. In ScottGu's blog entry he mentions that we'll be able to move to SqlExpress or higher from CE 4 by just changing the connection string. However, I noticed that in all of the code samples the connection is established with a SqlCeConnection object. Can this object talk to SqlExpress or higher?
