RDA is a fully-supported feature of SQL Server Compact. The fact that it shipped in SQLCE 3.5 SP2 as well as part of the platform in the new Windows Embedded Handheld means that it's supported by Microsoft until 2020.

I have scenario that seems to scream "use RDA", but deprecation is making us think of building our own solution. We have already proven that merge and sync framework are not good choices for our scenario.

Isn't the other reason to avoid RDA that it is deprecated and should not be used for new development? (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms172917.aspx)
