Shared Touches in a New Normal

Elevator Button

Think of every button you push on point of sale machines, ATMs, elevators, remote controls and kiosks.

Think of how you physically share your credit card when purchasing something at a store or restaurant.

Think of that shared pen you’re using to capture your signature. Think of the light switches you flick and the faucets and door knobs you turn.

Think of the fingerprints you use to move through airport security more quickly.

I’m barely scratching the surface here.

In the event we’re entering a new normal, all of these shared touches must be replaced with the contactless, retina scanned, voice activated, motion sensed, gesture based technologies we already have today.
